Shrimp Fest (and Alex's Birthday!)

On Saturday after 'surprising' Alex at her house with cake, we piled in the cars and drove to Fernandina for the 47th annual Shrimp Festival. I have to admit I had qualms about making the trek since I went to another art festival there once and it was lame sauce. But apparently this is the one to be at-- it was the biggest I've ever seen! We had a fantastic time enjoying the beautiful weather and eating tons of shrimp. While I haven't been the best at taking pictures lately, I did snag some good ones this time. 

Am I the only one that finds this amusing?
